Shino Teapot with Gold Whalesharks

This large teapot, an early exploration in my teapot design journey, carries a deeply personal touch.

The hand-built spout ensures a consistently smooth pour, while the handle is ergonomically sculpted for comfortable handling, prioritizing natural thumb placement.

Adorning the surface are whale shark motifs, a design born from my profound experience swimming with this magnificent creature in Maui, Hawaii.

The gold leaf detailing which I crafted in Adobe Illustrator was applied as a custom decal and then permanently fired onto the teapot, encapsulating both a technical study and a cherished memory.
